In the era of knowledge-driven economy,human resource has become an important resource which makes the company stand out in the fierce competition.However,employee silence,a common problem in the corporation hinders the development of employees' wisdom and talent.How to break the ice?Studies find that different leaderships can make a big difference to employee silence.Whether the servant leadership,who concerns more about employees' needs and development,have an impact on employee silence?The paper tries to find out the influence and discuss the mechanism,using employees trust as intervening variable.Through data processing and analysis,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)the authorization,service and vision dimension of servant leadershipship are significantly negatively correlated with the disregardful silence of employees.(2)the authorization of servant leadershipship and the vision dimension are significantly negatively correlated with the acquiescence silence of employees.(3)the authorization,service and vision dimension of servant leadershipship are significantly negatively correlated with the defensive silence of employees.(4)the authorization,service and vision dimension of servant leadershipship are significantly positively correlated with employee trust.(5)employee trust is significantly negatively correlated with employee's disregardful,acquiescence silence and defensive silence.(6)employee trust plays an intermediary role between the authorization vision of servant leadership and employees' disregardful silence,acquiescence and defensive silence,and between service of servant leadership and employees disregardful and defensive silence.The paper contributes to the following aspects:(1)It enriches the research in employee silence.There are few papers on the influence servant leadership has on employee silence.This paper deals with employees' disregardful silence,acquiescence and defensive silence from the authorization,service and vision dimension of servant leadershipship respectively.(2)It enriches the research on the influence mechanism of employee silence by working on the intermediary role of employee trust between servant leadership and employee silence.(3)The enlightenment is that leaders can increase their trust in employees to decrease employee silence.Moreover,the authorization,service and vision dimension of servant leadershipship can effectively strengthen employees' trust in their leaders,which in turn,decreases employee silence.
