Strategies For Rural Tourism Development In Support Of The Characteristic Agriculture

With the rapid development of material civilization and spiritual civilization, the demand of people for leisure tourism grows higer and higher. Rural tourism has become a hotspot of the world tourism. At present, people in the city have accelerating pace of life and increasing pressure of environment and life. Rural tourism plays an important role to protect the rural ecological environment, cultural landscape and ethnic customs, bringing people a peaceful tourist destination to relax. Our country is at an primary stage in the aspect of academic research on rural tourism, which mainly concentrates on the sightseeing agriculture. It was lacked of detailed research and interdisciplinary study, affecting the depth and breadth.With the development of characteristic agriculture and driving of the policy of New Rural Construction, rural tourism came to a new phase of development and rural tourism in support of characteristic agriculture also developed rapidly. As an important tourist attraction of rural tourism activities, characteristic agriculture had great development potential. The characteristic agriculture of rural tourism destination is a new agricultural development form, which is guided by the demands of market and focusing on economic efficiency to adapt to the specific conditions of agricultural production. It makes full use of natural resources, regional, management, humanities environment and other aspects of advantages, providing the service and agricultural production based on characteristic, in order to improve industry core competence.In this paper, refering to the rural tourism development experience at home and abroad and ideas and methods in the field of rural tourism development, research progress of rural tourism and characteristic agriculture were systematically combed. The effect of rural tourism development to improve residents’ spiritual and cultural life level, and to promote regional economic development was deeply analyzed. The problems in the rural tourismin course of the planning, development and construction were summarized, especially the lack of unified planning, the lack of talents and the simple model of rural tourism development. From the perspective of rural tourism development in support of the characteristic agriculture, theory of ecology, agricultural location theory, tourism psychology were used to sum up the guiding ideology, development principles, development goals and development model for rural tourism development.On the basis of theoretical research, this paper analyzed the current situation and development conditions of in Changyi City, by the SWOT analysis method. According to the current situation in combination with rural tourism cases in Changyi City, development strategies were put forward from the follwing six aspects: making master plan, optimizing development model, enforcing industry management, strengthening the marketing and propaganda, introducing and culturing professional talents, perfecting matching facilities and services. It aimed to provide the reference and help for construction of new rural tourism development in support of the characteristic agriculture.
