Research On The Knowledge Management Model Construction And Application Of Engineering Cost Consultation Enterprises

The construction industry has suffered a rapid development in last decades. The engineering cost consultation service, which plays a role in city construction, expanded itself at the same time. However, in most cases, because of neglecting the importance of knowledge management, the engineering cost consultation companies have to face mountainous problems, such as slow development, employee turnover, slow upward trend of business level, low work efficiency, etc. For the purpose of assisting the engineering cost consultation enterprises to overcome the problems they faced during development, this thesis chose the topic of “Research on the Knowledge Management Model Construction and Application of Engineering Cost Consultation Enterprises”, and provided solution and suggestion to improve the knowledge acquisition, knowledge storage and knowledge sharing abilities of such companies. The cheerful results from this research will benefit the engineering cost consultation companies in certain degree. The basic idea of this study was to establish knowledge management model of engineering cost consultation companies via questionnaire survey and the corresponding data analysis using SPSS statistical software, based on the analysis results, the countermeasure and suggestion were proposed. The main results are listed below:1. On the basis of detailed study and comparison of different published papers which related to the “enterprise knowledge management” and “enterprise knowledge management model”, the typical theory and models of knowledge management and the corresponding knowledge management process were summarized.2. Following the literature investigation, the questionnaire survey which was suitable to the knowledge management of construction enterprises and business around was well prepared. The content of this survey contained the background, knowledge demanding during business process, the current knowledge-acquisition situation, knowledge-storage situation, knowledge sharing situation and innovation situation ofconstruction related enterprises, especially the engineering cost consultation companies. The SPSS statistical software was applied to analyze the findings, and the results were presented through forms and images on conditions that the data reality and validity were well guaranteed.3. The referentiability and utilization factor of required resources during the business process of engineering cost consultation were further summarized from the analysis results. As to direct the knowledge-management activities of the engineering cost consultation companies, the general model of the knowledge management, graphic model of the knowledge acquisition, knowledge storage and knowledge sharing were carried out.The research achievement listed above helps the engineering cost consultation companies to figure out the knowledge and the proper knowledge management modes they need, particularly, knowledge acquisition and knowledge storage are two key aspects. As a guide to teach the engineering cost consultation companies how to use knowledge acquisition, knowledge storage, knowledge sharing and knowledge innovation to impel the proper knowledge-management activities during the service execution and development of enterprises in the future. Further, based on the corresponding knowledge-management models, presented knowledge acquisition solution of the related organization and personnel, knowledge storage solution of related resources types and enterprise knowledge base, and knowledge sharing solution of related interaction and information technology. Importantly, these results offered reference for the construction related companies to promote their knowledge management activities.This thesis was not perfect because of the limited investigation scale of questionnaire survey. Thus, it is necessary to extend the range of the investigation and enlarge the sample size as far as possible. Besides, the knowledge conversion activities of engineering cost consultation companies should be evolved into the follow-up study.
