With the gradual completion of China’s population structure from a traditional agricultural society to an industrial society in transition, the aging population continues to rise in the proportion of the total population, the deepening of aging, will undoubtedly increase the pension burden on society as a whole, but the huge base elderly population also means a huge potential consumer. Gansu Province, the aging process, compared with China’s average age, five years later, with the increase in the proportion of elderly population in Gansu province, their spending habits will change, leading to changes in the structure of consumption, consumption structure of the Elderly impact, helping to identify most closely with the elderly consumer spending, stimulate consumption potential of older age groups, but also provide a realistic reference for basic subsistence of the elderly.In this paper, a total of six chapters. The first chapter is an introduction into the research background and significance of the literature review in two parts. The second chapter is the theory, first expounded the theory of demographic transition and the classical theory of consumption, then theoretically analyzed the impact of population aging on the consumption structure. The third chapter of Gansu Province population aging status and characteristics were analyzed, then population projections for the future development of Gansu aging evaluation. The fourth chapter is part of the consumption structure, namely the consumption structure analysis of the status and characteristics of Gansu Province. The fifth chapter is the empirical part, first introduced the use of gray correlation, and then using this method Effects of Gansu Province of population aging on the consumption structure, and the results were analyzed. The sixth part is the proposal to improve the consumption structure of Gansu Province, from consumer protection and quality of life of older people’s potential to stimulate both the elderly elaborated on the line.
