The Country-wise Comparison Of The Internet Management Mode

The Internet Technology has permeated through every single corner of the our daily life nowadays and been the prime support power of the society since the 20th century. The statistics shows that China has already been one of the major markets of the Internet. And the number of Chinese netizens will rise up to 850 million. Under the circumstance, it worth taking a deep research into the development of the Internet. Premier Li proposed the action plan named "Internet +" by the time of the third plenum of the 12th party congress. Then, many new forms of the industry rose. And there is no doubt that the Internet is overwhelmingly popular now. How to balance between the free development and the effective supervision is challenging for both theory and practice. As 2 major influence factors of the topic, management mode and economy are the focus of the research.The paper combined the basis of the existing literature through the study of differences in levels of development of different systems and to analyze the impact of the mechanism of development of the Internet. Based on this, the paper conducted multiple regression analysis on sample data from 2004 to 2013 in 60 countries worldwide, which showed that the management of Internet freedom in each country, the level of economic development of the countries significantly influence the development of the Internet. A country’s overall level of economic development of the Internet has a significant positive impact on economic development. Country whose tertiary industry output account for a higher proportion of GDP and whose foreign investment to GDP ratio are relatively low enjoy better development of the Internet Thus, the paper reached a creative conclusion:In the stage of initial development of the Internet or in some underdeveloped countries and regions, strict management influences Internet development greatly; when economy develops, influence of Internet management weakens; the management of Internet even promotes its development in a high level of economic situation.In addition, the paper took Singapore as a case to study and analyze influence on Internet development from management mode and economy. We found that the course of development of the Internet in Singapore is consistent with both theoretical logic and empirical results of this paper. Given the similarity of internet management mode between Singapore and China, the paper drew its learning and thinking on China in terms of its management mode.The conclusions are as follows.1.Internet development is related to country’s Internet management mode and its economy.2.Developed countries enjoy high level of Internet development while Internet industries of developing countries are facing unprecedented opportunities for complex environments and acute challenges.3.In increasingly open environment, appropriate regulation of the Internet promotes its stable, healthy development and further expand. The author expects the conclusions of this paper provide guidance and reference for China’s Internet development.
