The Urban Agglomerations’ Industrial Development Effects Of High-Speed Railway

Since the Medium and Long Term Railway Network Plan (2004-2020) has been promulgated, Chinese high-speed railway has experienced a great-leap-forward development. By the end of 2014, operation mileage of the high-speed railway has reached 16 thousand kilometers, more than half of the world’s high-speed railway operating mileage. The National New-type Urbanization Development Plan (2014-2020) emphasized development pattern which was named the two vertical and three horizontal development route, and it takes the urban agglomerations as the centre to drive the coordinating development of the whole country. The development of high-speed railway has become an important support of the new urbanization and the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road Strategy.Through the analysis of high-speed rail to the urban agglomeration industrial development effect about the mechanism, theory and empirical research, this paper systematically describes the development effects of high-speed railway to urban agglomeration industrial space. The first part (Chapter 1) researches background, significance, research status, research contents, research methods, etc; the second part (Chapter 2) is the basic theory, which mainly is basic concept of high-speed rail, urban agglomeration, high-speed railway industry belt and high-speed rail and regional economic development, and the mechanism of high-speed rail to urban agglomeration industrial development, and finally on this basis the high-level overview four the urban agglomeration industry development effects of high-speed rail:namely the urban agglomeration industrial development effect of high-speed rail, the urban agglomeration industrial agglomeration effects of high-speed rail, the urban agglomeration industrial optimization effect of structure of high-speed rail and the urban agglomeration industrial spatial services effect of high-speed rail; the third part (Chapter 3,4,5,6) focuses on studying the four industrial development effects of high-speed railway to urban agglomeration by theoretically and empirically, and it is empirical analysis by the establishing model taking the Zhongyuan Urban Agglomeration for example in order to prove the four theories; the fourth chapter (Chapter 7) is the conclusion and suggestion, mainly writing strategies to improve the urban agglomeration industrial development effects of high-speed rail for the typical problem appeared in the running process among high-speed railway, urban agglomerations and industry at present.Through research and empirical analysis of the four industry development effects of high-speed rail to urban agglomeration shows that link strongly, collaborative obviously, closely associated and interaction during the four industry development effects of high-speed rail to urban agglomeration, and the four development effects is changing with the development of time.
