With the advent of the era of knowledge economy, knowledge has become the basic momentum of enterprise competition and wealth growth.As the carrier of knowledge, knowledge workers plays a more and more important role, not only can they themselves create value, but also they will have an effect on the value realization of other types of human capital.Thus, they become the key factor which can decide their own performance, team work, enterprise development.Most of the knowledge staff have accepted the higher education, have good personal accomplishment and high human capital stock, but we are in an era gradually characterized by team competition, if knowledge workers lack of social capital that has "glue" effect, they can’t communicate with others, increase mutual trust and good cooperation, then the value of individual human capital won’t be implemented, their work performance will be affected by the large.In recent years, the performance issue has become an important focus in the research of scholars at home and abroad, and has been discussed from many aspects, but few from the perspective of human capital, social capital to the research of knowledge workers and job performance of literature, let alone the perspective of adjusting effect on the relationship between human capital and job performance from knowledge workers’ social capital. The interaction and fusion of Human capital and social capital has an important influence on knowledge staff’s work performance. therefore,how to make good use of knowledge workers human capital and social capital to improve its performance also become an important research content of this article.Based on the review of theory of human capital, and relevant knowledge about social capital and performance management, combined with empirical research, in the form of questionnaire survey, this paper plan to explore the process of knowledge workers’human capital, social capital’s influence on its performance, including different effects of the individual characteristics on these research variables.The empirical results show that the different individual characteristics (e.g., gender, work property, working years, etc.) will significantly affect the knowledge workers’human capital, social capital and their performance;Knowledge workers’human capital, social capital have a positive effect on job performance;Social capital of the knowledge-based staff have adjusting effect between human capital and its performance.With high human capital,if knowledge-based employees can take full advantage of the synergy of social capital, human capital’s contribution to their own work will be more significant.Especially when certain dimensions of human capital which reflects the knowledge staff is not high, the regulating role of social capital can make up for a lack of human capital to some extent.Finally, on the basis of theoretical and empirical analysis, this paper puts forward that the future enterprise management practice should pay attention to and deepen the concept of knowledge staffs work performance, nurture and transformation of human capital of the knowledge-type employees.At the sam time,we should pay attention to accumulation and development of the social capital of the knowledge-type employees, cohesion strength between staff which realize win-win situation of its own performance and development of enterprises.In addition,we put forward that enterprises should consider attracting, nurturing and caring for the the knowledge staff of high quality, high value, team feeling and sense of responsibility, to be a long-term and strategic task about their survival and development.
