Chen Shou Chiang With China Social And Economic History Research

In the thirties and forties of last century, Chen Shou Chiang was active in the historiography circle, was nationally known for studying Chinese social economic history. he was participated in the Chinese social history discussion, and established "modern history" in company with Zhu Qian Zhi, published many academic books and papers. For modern China academic especially social economic history had the tremendous contribution, these results by the domestic and foreign scholars paid close attention to Fu Yiling, Lien-sheng Yang, Wittfogel and so on. Unfortunately, he went abroad in 1948, Completely withdrawing from the academic circles.According to the present understanding of the material, which nobody has been studied Chen’s social economic history, so I intend to " Chen Shou Chiang and the study of Chinese social economic history" as my graduation thesis, combing through the historical materials on the evaluation of Chinese, evaluate Chen’s contribution in the field of social and economic history of the China, and point out its deficiency.The full text is divided into four parts, the first part is small introduction, mainly is the research status on Chen Shou Chiang, the research significance. The second part is the life and academic activities of Chen Shou Chiang. Mainly divided into three periods to expound, namely, Amoy University period, Sun Yat-sen University period and Fudan University period. The third part is the study of economic history of the Western Han dynasty. The fourth part is the study of economic history of the three kingdoms.
