Effects Of Regional Innovation Network Structure On Innovation Performance Of Enterprises: Based On The Perspective Of Social Capital

With the rapid development of information technology, enterprise technology innovation environment has become more and more complex. However, regional innovation networks as a new innovative organizational model for this stage, has promote the economic development of the region, facing a huge construction challenges. Sorting out the effective operating mechanism of regional innovation networks, improving enterprise technology innovation ability has become a research subject with realistic significance.The current research on regional innovation network are mostly focus on network internal operation mechanism and innovation network performance evaluation based on the theory of social network. However, research on how does the regional innovation network act on and improve enterprise innovation performance is insufficient. About the research on social capital, mostly from the trust, sharing common values and norms to explore the relationship between innovation performance, which no longer meet the reality of the needs of the increasing regionalization and network, the knowledgeable and global background which the enterprise in. So the study of social capital should also be promoted to the whole region of the category, in order to study the role of social capital in the relation between regional innovation networks and the innovation performance of enterprises.This article research the effect mechanism of regional innovation network on enterprise innovation performance from the social property of enterprise innovation behavior and with intermediary of the social capital on the basis of the literature review,. Regional innovation network is the intersection of social relation network, the regional innovation system and the network of spatial economic activities. Enterprises who are in regional innovation networks forms rich social capital in the long process of development, and builds lasting and stable contact with external relations (such as suppliers, customers, government, universities, etc.), by communicating and sharing knowledge, information and resources to promote knowledge creation and technological innovation performance. This article developed key variable scale from the social capital in regional innovation system, through empirical analysis to verify the assumption of the model, by the combination method of qualitative and quantitative analysis to research the effective operation mechanism of regional innovation network, and from promoting enterprise innovation motivation perspective, based on path analysis results, put forward policy suggestions to create social capital of regional innovation network, for servicing innovation activities with enterprises as the main body.Conclusion of this study shows that:the regional innovation network structure can be investigated from three aspects of network density, network intensity and network heterogeneity. Social capital can be divided into three dimensions of vertical relationship capital, horizontal relationship capital and social ties capital. Enterprise innovation performance can be measured from two aspects of economic performance and technology performance. Network density and network intensity have significant positive effect on enterprise innovation performance, but network heterogeneity’s influence on the enterprise technology innovation ability is not significant. Network density, network intensity and network heterogeneity all have significant positive effect on social capital. Social capital has significant positive effect on enterprise innovation performance.
