The internal and external environment the enterprise facing is changing rapidly, which makes the traditional organizational structure difficult to adapt to. Project team has strong flexibility and adaptability. However, with the deepening of project practice.More and more enterprises begin to adopt the project team as the way to manage. More and more enterprises begin to adopt the work way of the project team. However, we can find that the project team can’t always realize the scheduled project performance. There are numerous factors affecting project performance, but communication is regarded as a soft factor which is very important and easy to be overlooked by academia and practice. The project team is an organization consisting of each member linked by communication. Communication goes through the whole process of realizing project performance. The realization of the project performance is that project members use the related resources to carry out project tasks under the condition of constraints. However, the allocation, use and coordination of resources, the allocation, priority sequencing and effectively execution can’t exist without communication. Communication plays an important role in collecting, transferring all kinds of information of the major task in the process of project implementation. Communication can promote team members to clarify tasks, establish good relations of cooperation, and to strengthen the consistency of thought and behavior, so as to complete the project tasks successfully. The allocation of resources, execution of tasks are achieved under the guidance of knowledge, the important purpose of communication is to conduct knowledge integration, and applying knowledge to practice. Knowledge, as the most core resource, the knowledge integration capability, as an important ability, play an important role in the realization of the project performance.Based on the communication theory and project performance theory, this paper introduces knowledge integration as mediation variable, focuses on the team level, builds a theory model which involved project team communication, knowledge integration and project performance. The model included two testing models:one is the model of task oriented communication and emotional communication effecting on project performance directly, and the other is the indirect model of communication and emotional communication effecting on project performance through systems capabilities, socialization capabilities and co-ordination capabilities. This paper illustrates the mechanism of project team communication impacting on project performance, try to provide a new path.This study uses SPSS19.0 and LIRSEL8.70 to test the reliability and validity of 264 valid questionnaires. And then the paper uses correlation analysis, regression analysis and the Bootstrap to test the hypothesis The empirical results show that task oriented communication and emotional communication affect project performance directly, and task oriented communication and emotional communication of the project team promote the realization of project performance through increasing systems capabilities, socialization capabilities and Co-ordination capabilities. According to the empirical conclusions and practice situation of the project team, this study puts forward some related suggestions on project team communication and knowledge integration. At last, this paper discusses the limitations of this study, and puts forward some expectations for the future research.
