Study On The Relation Between Project Communication And Project Performance Of Knowledge Process Project

The times is the era of knowledge economy. The knowledge innovation is an important sources to enterprise core competitive. The organization of knowledge process project consist of creating knowledge activities also attract more an more attention. The efficiency of knowledge process project is low, time delay, cost extended, quality poor, lack of innovative features performances. A lot of research and consulting show that the reasons of the poor performance of knowledge process project is often not technical ability, but the soft power. That is that the man is a major factor in the project. And the communication is considered as the biggest factor.The research about communication can be traced back to the Dale (1959), he was put forward the concept of "communication satisfaction", and pointed out that the satisfaction of the employees to the organization had significant influence on their work performance. Soon afterwards, lots of scholars demonstrated that there is a close relation between organizational communication and organizational performance by deep research. As a special type of organizations, the knowledge process projects have their own some of the features, such as vagueness output, professional members, so what is the real relationship between project communication and project performance in the knowledge process project? And how does it affect? That is what we need to research.From the perspective of the knowledge process project, This thesis try to find out that what is the connotation of the knowledge process project communication and performance, and how does the communication affect the performance, and how much the influence degree is. Through the interference analysis to some factors such as project type and team size, the thesis try to prove the conclusion is common in all knowledge process projects. Literature reading and the interview survey as the foundation, the thesis constructs a set of scale system for the project communication and performance in the knowledge process project. Then it explores the relationship between the project communication and performance through questionnaires. Finally get the following conclusions:(1)The connotation of the knowledge process project communication and performance is different from the general project, which has their own characteristics;(2) Among the knowledge project factors, information flow, feedback and communication frequency has a significant positive effect to the project visible performance and project recessive performance. The clarity of customer requirements and participative atmosphere only have a significantly positive influence to the project recessive performance factor. The effect of clarity of objectives and informal communication is not obvious.(3)The individual information of research enterprises and respondents has no obvious interference to the independent variable and the dependent variable and the conclusions in knowledge process projects.
