Study On Business Model Innovation Of SG Logistics Group Company

Modern logistics, anew economic growth point in China, has already become an important driving force to economic development. It is an important topic for logistics enterprises including SG Logistics Group(or SG) how to use business model innovation to integrate the resources and ability of a company, build up new competitive advantage, get better development and fulfill their social responsibilities. This paper aims to find its principle and proposes several suggestions to logistics enterprises and others.This paper is theoretically based on Professor Zhu WuXiang and Wei Wei’s research about business model. Firstly, it explains the main content of Wei-Zhu business model theory, makes a deep analysis in the elements of SG business model, and summarizes its total achievement of business model innovation. The practice of SG proves the scientificity and practicality of Wei-Zhu business model theory in guiding the enterprise business model innovation. Secondly, it applies this theory to find out main deficiencies and their reason in business model innovation of SG. Thirdly, according to the problems existing in the operation of logistics group business model, it proposes the fundamental principle, idea and concrete measures including "one centre, two keys and three points" to improve business mode, which is the core part of the paper. Finally, from four dimensions which include the importance of business model innovation for development of enterprises, industries and society, elements and rule of business model innovation, the critical issues and supporting point of the business model, we come to four general conclusions of business model innovation.Combination of theory and practice is obeyed in this thesis. According to the status quo of SG business model innovation, the principle and measures of further optimizing business model are proposed. It also has instructive effect on promoting development, quality and efficiency of SG to realize greater value. Meanwhile, through summarizing the experience of SG business model innovation, it provides reference to other enterprises, especially for logistics ones.
