Study On The Influence Factors Of Smes’ R&D Cooperation

In the era of knowledge and economy, technology innovation has become more and more specialized and complicated,so R&D cooperation is becoming the method of enterprises,especially small and medium-sized enterprises, to solve the shortage of innovation resources, and furthermore to realize the enterprise’s sustainable development. From the enterprise’s strategic decision-making level, enterprise cooperates or not is determinated by the internal and external environment, resources and entrepreneur’s personality. Therefore, this paper takes SMEs as the research object, based on the analysis of three aspects’industry aspect,enterprise aspect, entrepreneurs aspect’,to construct a analytical framework’industry opportunities, enterprise resource,entrepreneur human capital--enterprise cooperation decision and choice.This paper focuses on the influence of industry opportunities,enterprise resource,entrepreneur human capital to firm’s R&D cooperation decision and choice.This paper takes small and medium enterprises in Zhejiang province as the investigation object,our date comes from the investigation of innovation capability of small and medium-sized enterprises in Jiaxing City in the year of 2013.We mainly use the Logistic regression analysis method for empirical research, our study found:(1) On the whole,enterprise’s R&D strength,entrepreneur’s education degree has a positive influence on enterprise’s cooperation decision,enterprise’s foreign background has a significant negative effect on enterprise’s R&D decision-making; (2) From the choose of vertical R&D cooperation mode,industry technology opportunities significantly promote enterprises to choose vertical R&D partners, companies receiving government subsidies has a significantly negative influence on enterprise selecting vertical R&D partners; (3)From the choose of horizontal R&D cooperation mode, entrepreneur’s education degree has a significantly positive influence on enterprises to choose level R&D partners, industry market opportunities, enterprises foreign background has a significantly negative influence on enterprises to choose the horizontal R&D partners; (4)From the choose of horizontal R&D cooperation mode, industry market opportunity, enterprise’s R&D strength, government subsidies, corporate’s reputation, entrepreneur’s education has a significantly positive influence on enterprises to choose industry,university,research institutions R&D partners. Industry technology opportunities,enterprise’s foreign background has a significant negative effect on enterprise to cooperate with university,research institutions R&D partners.The results of this study show that, different industry opportunities, enterprise resource, entrepreneur’s human capital conditions,have different influences on enterprise’s cooperation decision and R&D cooperation mode selection.This study deepened the explanation on the relationship between industry opportunities, enterprise resource, entrepreneur human capital and enterprise cooperation decision making, R&D cooperation mode selection.This paper fully reveals the influence mechanism of cooperative decision and choice, and will guide enterprises to grasp the rule to set R&D cooperation.Morever,give some contribution for enterprise,even the whole industry,to improve innovation ability.
