Space Location Of China’s Top 500 Enterprises Of Manufacturing And Its Influencing Factors

During the past 30 years, the scale of China’s manufacturing industry enterprises is constantly growing, China’s corporate headquarters of manufacturing industry started to group in big cities, and branches and production units spread to small and medium-sized cities, and have important influences on those cities. However, the domestic academic circles is relatively lack of attention to the space location of enterprise headquarters as well as its influencing factors, and are also in need of carrying out researches on the location of corporate headquarters at the help of a large number of enterprises samples.According to the related data analysis of the 2006-2013 China’s top 500 manufacturing enterprises, we find the geographical features of China’s large and medium-sized enterprises headquarters. And we explain the influence factors of enterprises headquarters’ space location by the means of correlation analysis and regression analysis. The results tell that, enterprises headquarters main cluster in the northern coastal region and the eastern coastal area, southern coastal regions of China. And Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Hangzhou can control the enterprises headquarters better than other cities, especially for Beijing. According to the classification and partition of top 500 enterprises of manufacturing enterprises, top 500 manufacturing enterprises in China can be divided into seven division, and the top three of which control the most enterprises. The main influencing factors on the space location of China’s top 500 manufacturing enterprises are consumption, investment and urban economic level, city scale, services industry. Producer services have an apparently influence on enterprises headquarters location and consumer services have less impact on corporate headquarters location. According to the conclusions, we give two suggestions:Actively attract more corporate headquarters to promote the regional economic development; develop the local service level to attract more headquarters.
