The Farmland Transfer And Moderate Scale Management In Yiyang City

Farmland transfer and agricultural scale management are the effective way to solve currently undeveloped farmland and farmland fragmentation of our country. It is also the important means of boosting modernized agricultural production and raising agricultural income. It plays an important role of optimizing the land resource distribution, increasing utilization efficiency of land and labor force and promoting rural economic development. As the primary actor, farmer’s intentions and behavior have a fundamental influence on the farmland transfer. And such intentions and behaviors are affected by other factors as well. To investigate the factors is beneficial for farmland transfer, stimulating the development of farmland transfer and promoting agricultural scale management.This thesis based on the summary of the research of farmland transfer and agricultural scale management from domestic and overseas scholars, selected Yiyang City, Hunan Province as study area, made a random sampling investigation in study area farmers. Assuming factors such as the farmer’s personal characteristics and economical characteristic as variable, building multiple logistic regression model, analyzing with SPSS, to explore the principal factors which affect farmers land transfer behavior and measure the best fit for agricultural production scale.The results shows:1. The transfer of farmland behavior is universal exist, among of 65.37% farmers have this behavior. But it lacked of standardization, the proportion of by "oral agreement" is up to 52.43%. The diversity of farmland transfer create the land transfer by means of trust.2. The principal factors which affect farmers’transfer behavior are age, educational attainments, the farming population, the farmland area, farm incomes and the proportion of family farm incomes. 3.Calculating that currently in Yiyang City, the agriculture land proper sc ale management of different land use type are:plough 93 mu, garden field 33.8 mu, nursery land 25.3 mu, and pond 18.4mu.
