With the deepening of economic globalization and rapid development of science and technology, the high-tech industries have become the dominant industries in the developed countries and the whole technical level in the export has become the symbol of a country’s technical strength. The developing countries have also tried to develop the high-tech industries and improve the competitiveness in the global market. The accelerating development of science and technology can contribute largely to the economic growth at the rate of 15% in the beginning of 20 century up to 70% in recent years.Compared with that of 2004, the global export of high-tech industries has doubled in 2013, while China’s export of high-tech industries has increased more than three times, and the share of China’s export in high-tech products has increased from 7% to 17%. Supported by the incentive policies, China’s high-tech industries have developed rapidly, and the export has surpassed that of the USA and has been the biggest exporter of high-tech industries in the world. When it comes to the trade structure, China is not the Top One. Compared to its situation ten years ago, the export structure of China’s high-tech industries has upgraded from the exports of low and middle technology-intensive in 2003 to the exports of middle and high technology-intensive in 2014, as the middle technical products accounts for the most in the export of high-tech industries. At present the export of high technical products is increasing continuously. How should China adjust and optimize its trade structure in the export of high-tech products in order to promote the development of high-tech industries and to improve the global competitiveness in the following years? The paper has conducted an empirical analysis on the factors working on China’s high-tech industry development and put forward some suggestions based on the empirical analysis. The paper consists of chapters. Chapter I is an introduction to the research background and significance, the contents, methods, the creative ideas as well as the points still need further research later. Chapter II defines the concept of high-tech industry and high technical value-added. This part also gives an overview of the research literatures in this field at home and abroad. Chapter III falls on the research on China’s export structure of high-tech industries covering the current situations and the features. This part has carried out a quantitative analysis as well as a comparative analysis of the total export volume, the revealed comparative advantage indexes(RCA), the height of technology and the distribution of technology. Chapter IV conducts an empirical analysis on the factors working on China’s high-tech industries. This chapter has set up a model and follows a regression estimation to figure out the relations of working factors. Chapter V draws a conclusion and gives some suggestions based on the former analysis.
