Study On The Competitiveness Evaluation Of Guangxi’s Equipment Manufacturing And Its Development Countermeasures

Equipment manufacturing industry is a basic and strategic industry, which determines the quality of the national economy. In recent years, by attaching a great importance to the scientific development of equipment manufacturing industry, China’s equipment manufacturing is becoming increasingly important. With that "along the way of vision and action", China-ASEAN Free Trade Area of the building, the western development and the establishment of the Pan-Beibu Gulf cooperation, Guangxi usher in a new period of booming industry and equipment manufacturing is becoming significant dependence on economic development in Guangxi. But now, the equipment manufacturing industry in Guangxi is still below the national average, and behind the developed areas in the northeast.Therefore, in order to achieve the Guangxi "wealthy and strong strategic objective and enhance the core competitiveness of the equipment manufacturing industry in Guangxi. we need study on Guangxi’s equipment manufacturing competitiveness.In this paper, with the third national economic census and other relevant data,the EMA in Guangxi is analyzed.On the basis of the equipment manufacturing industry content, classification and elaborated on the role, a whole and the advantages of the EMA in Guangxi is analyzed.Then, on the basis of the situation analysis, we use RCA and PCA to evaluate Guangxi’s EMA. Finally, based on the golden section, the competitiveness of 30 provinces and cities are analyzed. It provids empirical evidence for the study of the development of countermeasures, enhances the status of the equipment manufacturing industry’ in Guangxi and has an important practical significance on promotting economic development in Guangxi.By the evaluation of competitiveness, we find the equipment manufacturing industry is the pillar industry in Guangxi. In recent years, the development of EMI has a decisive influence on the industrial economy in Guangxi. But there are some problems on Guangxi’s EMA like uneven development of various industries, gathering low efficiency, innovation is not strong. Meanwhile. compared with the national 30 provinces, the competitiveness of Guangxi’s EMA is in middle or lower level and the overall level is in a relatively disadvantaged areas.For the existing problems in Guangxi’s EMA, this paper gives the development countermeasures from four aspects of industrial structure, clustering model, innovation capability and classification:deepening enterprise reform, optimizing the industrial capital structure;forming a joint benefit; developing a service-oriented manufacturing; promoting the formation of the industrial chain; promoting massive economic transformation and upgrading of industrial clusters; promoting industrial agglomeration area construction; strengthening the core technology and equipment manufacturing;improving equipment manufacturing technology innovation system and enhancing industrial collaborative innovation consciousness; increasing investment in science and technology; expanding the potential size of the industry sector.This study has a great influence on promoting the sustained and stable development of Guangxi’s equipment manufacturing, forming competitive capital and guiding Guangxi’s EMA form a new development path.
