Urbanization rate increased from 10.64% to 10.64%, especially since 2004, growth is accelerated apparently when the urbanization rate above 30%, increasing by an annual rate of 1.5%. It pointed out the direction of national new-type urbanization. Nowadays, GuangXi has entered the Decisive phase of "Two built" goal which is that achieve synchronization with the build a well-off society in an all-round way、 basic built southwest central south area open development of new strategic fulcrum, we must treat various contradictions and problems appeared in the process of urbanization correctly, understanding the new trends and new features of urbanization development, in accordance with objective laws, grasping the correct direction and overcome difficult, trying to explore the new-type urbanization’s road of GuangXi which has age characteristics and full of GuangXi features.Using empirical methods Measured the quality of new-type urbanization of 14 regional cities in GuangXi and investigated the public opinion, founding that industrial with urban development uncoordinated and insufficient institutional supply are the most important restricting factors for the quality ascension of new-type urbanization of GuangXi.In addition, since the economic, social development, geographical environment, historical conditions and other factors, the level and the quality of urbanization of GuangXi is still the middle and lower levels across the country. Therefore, we need to focus on strengthening economic development and industrial upgrading of the strength to support the new-type urbanization, deepen reform of the system on jobs, housing, healthcare, education and other issues for peoples livelihood, forming the linkage mechanism on overall level of the new-type urbanization quality of GuangXi,letting the people live in this district, enjoy the achievement of a well-off.To this end, we can improve the new-type urbanization quality of GuangXi from three aspects:One, letting industrial and urban development together, through improving the propulsive efficiency of urbanization, improving the quality of employment structure and advance the equal basic public services, improve the new-type urbanization quality of GuangXi. Second, taking the path of institutional innovation, by deepening population census register system, reform the land management system and urban planning management system innovation, grasping the core direction for the new-type urbanization quality of GuangXi. Three, taking the path of layout optimization, by enhancing the core city’s comprehensive ability, enhance the capacity of radiation center city, speed up the development of small and medium-sized cities and cultivating small towns with emphasis, cultivating regional urban agglomeration, establishing the mechanism of coordination and development of city cluster, orderly implementation the overall ascension on the new-type urbanization quality of GuangXi.
