A Dynamic Capabilities Perspective Research On The Effection Of Cloud Manufacturing Mode On Group Enterprises’ Performance

With the rapid development of information technology and the Internet, the external environment,which is becoming more and more dynamic and complex,puts forward higher requirements for the manufacturing enterprises to improve their dynamic abilities and realize the sustainable development. Especially with the continuous progress of the third industrial revolution, manufacturing powers have set off a wave of "re-industrialization", which make the China manufacturing environmental situation more severe. In addition, the majority of Chinese manufacturing enterprises are at the bottom of the "smile curve" and facing the situation of "big but not strong". Especially with the arrival of the new normal economic times, they desperately need the help of advanced information technology and manufacturing model to enhance the competitive advantage to achieve rapid development.Based on the cloud computing idea which is put into manufacturing, Li Bohu first proposed the concept of "cloud manufacturing" to provide a new way to realize the rapid development and the transformation and upgrading of China manufacturing industry. Based on the theory of dynamic capabilities and cloud manufacturing theory this paper found that very few people explore the impact of cloud manufacturing mode on the enterprise performance from the dynamic capability perspective. Cloud manufacturing is a new kind of advanced manufacturing mode and development concept. Some domestic large manufacturing groups have begun to try to apply a cloud manufacturing mode, and achieved remarkable performance. Therefore, this paper explores the influence mechanism of cloud manufacturing mode on group enterprise performance from the Dynamic Capability theories perspective. Firstly, It analyzes the influence mechanism of cloud manufacturing mode on group enterprises’ Dynamic Capability and performance theoretically to explore the relationship among cloud manufacturing mode, dynamic capability and performance and proposes a "Cloud manufacturing – Dynamic Capabilities – Performance" CDP model, which is that cloud manufacturing model can enhance the Group’s corporate dynamic capabilities, and thus enhance the business performance. Shenyang Blower Works group and Inventec group are pioneers in the application of cloud manufacturing mode, and have achieved remarkable results. This paper adopts the method of case study and takes the SBW and Inventec Group as the research objects to explore the application of its cloud manufacturing mode and analyze the influence mechanism of cloud manufacturing mode on group enterprise performance from the Dynamic Capability theories perspective, which verifies the feasibility of CDP model.Finally, based on the application experience of the case enterprises’ cloud manufacturing mode and the CDP model, this paper presents the way to promote the dynamic capability of enterprise group by using cloud manufacturing mode in order to provide a reference for manufacturing enterprise group to improve their dynamic abilities to adapt to the dynamic and complex external environment, and to put forward some ideas to realize the rapid development and the rapid transformation and upgrading.
