In the late 1990s, the Chinese Public Science and Technology website, which is hosted by China Science and Technology Association, was officially opened. Today, our country’s network science communication has been developed for nearly twenty years. The network science communication which communicates the science knowledge by the network has entered the public consciousness. The degree of attention and use experience of audience for the network science communication is an important indicator about the network science communication effect. According to the survey of the audience on the network science communication, this paper finds out the problems about the development of network science communication from the dimension of the audience, and analyzes the causes, comes up with the countermeasures and suggestions of optimizing network science communication effect by combining audience’s use of experience and the current situation of the development of network science. I hope these can bring some inspiration and help to the development of it, and to allow more and more audience to promote the National Science communication through the use of network, and to promote the prosperity and development of science communication in China.This paper analyzes college students’usage in Wuhan by using the method of field survey and research. The survey found that:The audience cares little and seldom use the network science communication, the current situation of the development of our network science communication is not very good and the number of science website is not enough and the quality is not well, either. Also, the subject, the mode and the content of network science communication exist problems. It embodies that:the lack of its own advertising makes the low visibility, the low Scientific literacy of communication subjects makes the low authority of information, the same content and mode of communication makes the lack of brand characteristics, the boring communication mode and more science education makes the lack of public awareness of service.In the light of the problems above, this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to improve the effect of network science communication combining the development status and causes of the problems with considering the audience’s expectations to network science communication. The network science communication should take much win-win cooperation with the d traditional media or other well-known sites to improve its own visibility, improve the communication subject team building, strengthen the "gatekeeper" function to improve the information authority. Clear the site location, pay attention to the originality of works of science communication and strengthen the construction site of innovation, build brand characteristics. Make full use of advantage of network media, explore new science way, strengthen the consciousness of the audience service to enhance the effect of network science communication.This paper holds the idea that, although network science communication has many problems in its development, it still has long way to go to drive the whole nation to pay attention to the network science communication, as long as the network science communication optimizes strategy in the future development, solve the problems efficiently, the network science communication should become the main way to obtain knowledge for the general audience by its own efforts.
