The reform of state-owned enterprises, have a huge impact on all aspect of the work and life of the workers of state-owned enterprises, compared with the male workers, under the double impact on vulnerable status in workers’ identity and gender on women workers more. Taking Guangxi Liuzhou Xijiang shipyard women workers as the research object, using the method of participant observation and non structural interview, from the theory of life course perspective, analysis of the development and trend of shipyard women workers’ life course events under the background of state-owned enterprise reform, and the effects of the restructuring of state-owned enterprises for their work, life, psychology and so on. The life course events experienced by the women workers reflect the characteristics of space-time, social time, relevance and initiative, so that we can better understand the life course events, and ideas on the development of the future of their own.This thesis mainly divides into five parts to discuss the life course events of the shipyard women works:The first part is the introduction, which mainly introduces the research purpose and significance, research objects and methods, the definition of related concepts, and the research overview.The second part is mainly introduces the research background. Since the reform and opening up, along with the change of the political system, economy of our country, the unit system gradually disintegrated, the panned economy is replaced by socialist market economy. State-owned enterprises are under the impact and influence in this transformation, and adopted a series of reform measures to adapt to social development. This part make the shipyard as example, descript the shipyard’s reform measures in the leadership system, operating mechanism and industrial structure in the period of social transformation, contribute to a more profound experience of women works under the background of life course events.The third part is the core part of this thesis. It’s mainly analysis the shipyard women works’life course events:education, marriage, family, work, and discuss their life course events, trends under the background of state-owned enterprises.The fourth part focuses on the changes on the work, life and psychology of women workers after the state-owned enterprises, and discusses how they adjust themselves, find the way out.The fifth part is the conclusion of this thesis. The study found that the life course event of the women workers has the space-time, it’s the product of social historical conditions and the lives of others events, and showed the peer group effect; the life course events of the women workers are related to their social relation network, and life event themselves contact and influence; the term of validity of the social have a standard for the time of occurrence of a life event, and the women workers’ life events are mostly occur in the standard of social time; women workers’ personal initiative can change the direction of their life events, resulting in the development of different women workers’life history also reveals the difference. This part also thinking on the development of the women workers, and points out the study deficiency and needs further efforts.
