Credit card is a card that issuers, such as commercial banks and other financial institutions, loans to individuals and units, which can be used in the consumer, merchant payment and access to cash in bank. Credit card is a kind of non cash payment, with the function of the repayment of the first consume, commercial banks provide a micro credit payment tool users. The issuing bank of the credit card consumption credit provide customer with small consumer credit, enhance customer consumption ability at the same time, to stimulate customer demand, and promote the rapid development of economy. Therefore, the credit card business plays an important role in stimulating consumption and promoting economic development.From 1985 March, the Bank of China Zhuhai Branch issued China’s first credit card is a bank card, credit card business in our country after nearly 30 years of development already has a considerable scale. With the rapid growth of the amount of credit card issuers, commercial banks pay more and more attention to the quality of the credit card, pay more attention to improve the service level of the card. But the banks in order to seize market share, continue to introduce new products such as credit cards, card. After the development of these years, the credit card business has become an integral part of the retail business of commercial banks, has become a source of profit for the commercial banks, play a decisive role in the management of commercial bank.Although the credit card in our country is developing rapidly, the major commercial banks are also increasing in the credit card business investment, but the credit card businesses is also placed on the issuance of credit card, but ignore the brand building and enhance the quality of service. Because the credit card business is one of the most important retail businesses of commercial banks, in the face of increasingly fierce market competition and changing customer requirements, commercial banks should competition pattern and business development direction. The Bank of China, as large state-owned commercial banks, the oldest, is also China’s first credit card issuing bank. With a history of 100 years of Chinese banks have strong capital strength, brand value, advanced business philosophy, the degree of internationalization of higher advantage, so in the development of credit card business has more advantages than other banks. However, the Bank of China’s credit card business performance, but in the financial market status does not match. Therefore, we must seize the opportunity from the market, improve the development of credit card business strategy, to become the leader of the domestic credit card business.This paper uses the method of questionnaire survey. The paper study on the situation of customer holding and using credit card of branch A of Bank of China. In particular through the questionnaire survey to the customers, who transact business in branch A of Bank of China, the investigation on the credit card customers of branch A of Bank of China can help understand the situation, such as customers’ motivation of obtaining card,the channel of customers obtaining card, the environment customer using card. These can find out the existing problems. Through the analysis of the problem, it puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions strengthening the publicize work of credit card, promoting customer card consumption and improving customer card using environment. All of this can improve the status of customer holding and using credit card of branch A of Bank of China.
