Research On Development Of Investment Banking Business Of Ningxia Branch Of China Construction Bank

In recent years, the economic of China developed rapidly, the way of social financing changed a lot, the process of interest rate liberalization is accelerating, the financial innovation along with development of the Internet is emerging, and China’s commercial banks is facing a grim situation. The deposit and loan spreads are narrowing sharply, profit margins are reducing, regulation is getting more stringent, the unprecedented fierce competition between banks is getting more and more intense. Looking for new profit growth point, based on long-term development, commercial banks have begun to accelerate business transformation, conform to the needs of personalized, integrated and international business trends of diversified financial market. Commercial banks increase business innovation, in order to continuously enhance their strength and competitiveness in order to seize the market, adapt to the market, creating market growth to achieve common economic and social benefits.Investment banking business has advantages that not occupied or less occupied with the economic capital of its banks, and it’s more and more important. The investment banking business of foreign commercial banks is maturer, which provide a reference for Chinese commercial banks to carry out investment banking business. Commercial banks have recognized the importance to carry out investment banking. They put a lot investment in investment banking business, and enhance investment banking product innovation. Among all Chinese commercial banks, the investment banking business of China Construction Bank developed rapidly for five years, and they made encouraging results, leading the industry in bond underwriting, the issue of financial products, and accumulated valuable business experience in construction of modern finance.However, while the investment banking business of commercial banks is booming, the development of investment banking business of Ningxia branch of China Construction Bank is relatively slow. Ningxia branch of China Construction Bank is located in remote and backward western region in China. Since 2011,the investment banking department(IBD) has been formal established. They made gratifying achievements in many aspects of financial products, investment banking, financial advisory, but still face many problems. In this paper, i will analysis the status of the investment banking development of Ningxia branch of CCB, point out that the current problems that the Ningxia branch is facing and propose corresponding solutions. I hope to provide some constructive suggestions and to develop thinking to the investment banking business of Ningxia branch of CCB.
