In the process of industrialization and urbanization, many agricultural lands are used for industrial construction, but also force a large number of farmers losing their land for living, had no choice but to move into city life. For long-term residents in rural landless peasants, facing a new living environment will inevitably have many unsuitable. And lost territory farmer city adaptability in the process of city is the most crucial one annulus, in this link can adapt to life in the city, not only to their role in the successful conversion, the urban life of their process finally completed and on city life eventually into, but also related to national industrialization and urbanization development, and the social stability and harmony.This research based on the land-lost farmers of W island of Shatian Town in Dongguan city, through questionnaire and interview, from economic adaptability, adaptive behavior and psychological adaptability from three aspects such as investigation of lost territory farmer city adaptability, from the individual level, the policy level and community level to study the factors affecting the adaptability, and put forward the corresponding countermeasure and the suggestion. According to the research content, the main investigation to collect relevant data and information, later period to survey the collected data and the data for analysis, and the conclusion. The investigation shows that, the lost territory farmer family income level and employment difficulties and daily consumption expenditure increased effect, they are the economic aspects of the city adaptability is not strong; because of long-term rural behavior habit, lost territory farmer in the behavioral aspects of the city to the weaker; the community environment and supporting service facilities, lost territory the farmer at the psychological level of city adaptability is not strong, but also for his public identity recognition is low. Overall, the W island of lost territory farmer city adaptability is not strong.
