Research On Consumption Problem Of Chinese Rural Residents

In Recent years, the party and the country attached great importance to the development of rural economy and farmers to improve the quality of their lives. Consumption in rural areas is related to the expansion of domestic demands and improves of the qualities of our rural residents’lives on major issues. For a long time, because of the low level of the incomes, higher consumption costs and the backward attitudes of our rural residents, our rural consumptions is not reach the high level and the consumption structure is also unreasonable. With the development of rural economy and the farmers’ income levels increase, the concept of rural livings and their consumption ideas are under-going significant changes, their demand for commodities has been increasing, our rural consumer market also contains a huge potential. Therefore, we should attach great importance to the consumer market, especially in rural areas, under the background of excessive investment in fixed assets and the global economy and financial turbulence today. Only "investment consumption and net exports" realize the coordinated development, our economy and social can realize the real sustainable development. Therefore, Research on Consumption Problem of Chinese Rural Residents has become a major issue of our country and all the scholars and experts.The article first has carried on the simple review to the expense economic theory. Firstly, the Marxism about the expense economic theory was introduced. Then the paper introduced the Western economy theory about the expense, mainly is the absolute income hypothesis, the relative income hypothesis, the permanent income hypothesis, and the life cycle theory, the expense decision-making influence income hypothesis as well as the preventive deposit hypothesis and so on. Finally, the article introduced China’s expense economic theory. This paper analyzes the consumption of the overall trend of China’s reform and opening up of rural residents as well as the problem of consumption exist, see the low consumption level of rural residents, consumption structure is irrational, unscientific and consumer consumption patterns and poor market conditions. Low income levels, income disparities, consumption concept behind the social security system are imperfect and is a factor restricting consumption of rural residents. To effectively enhance the consumption of rural residents must break a fundamental factor restricting its development, the paper finally improving rural incomes, rural residents’ consumption structure optimization, changes in consumer attitudes of rural residents, improve the rural consumer market environment and improve the social security system in five areas discussed policy recommendations to effectively enhance consumption of rural residents in China.
