Energy is essential driving force to maintain economic development and every second ofcontemporary life are inseparable from the people. Energy security is the lifeblood of issuesrelated to the country’s stability and development. For our country, since1992the number ofself-produced energy obviously can not meet the current situation of energy consumption,transportation energy consumption is one of the main body of China, China’s transportationenergy consumption showed a rising trend, it is a urgent and strategic task to save energy.Understanding the current transportation energy consumption and exploring the impact oftransport energy consumption factors that can provide targeted support for the decision toreduce energy consumption. To this end, how effectively use limited energy has become aworldwide topic that our country facing and the urgent need to address the problem. With theenergy-saving targets broken down into various sectors, as the biggest energy consumptionthat transport sector, the implementation of energy-saving operation without delay. Therefore,from micro-dialysis and studies the views of scholars on transportation energy consumption,from macro-analysis the current situation of China’s transportation energy consumption,based on LMDI model decomposition affecting factors of transportation energy consumption,according to the contribution of each factor to determine the energy consumption of thedriving factors of transportation. Improving energy efficiency to solve the traffic problem andproviding scientific and operable strategy are very necessary. Therefore, this research estimatethe contribution of each factor through LMDI method and make recommendations based onthe study of domestic scholars about transportation energy consumption and traffic situationin recent years, in order to provide a reference for future research.Firstly, combing study the status of domestic transportation energy consumption, identifythe focus of academic research on the characteristics and limitations of existing researchsystems analysis, macro-economic analysis of transportation energy consumption, in order toprovide a reference for future research.Secondly, the analysis of transportation system structure can clear consisting oftransportation energy. Through using rough set to reduce driving traffic energy consumptionfactors, to determine the impact of key factor. The study involved data system consisting ofenergy, including passenger turnover, freight turnover, passenger, cargo, population, economicdevelopment and other data can be composed by 《China Statistical Yearbook》 and 《EnergyStatistics Yearbook》.Last, according to Rough set to determine the key factors of transportation energy, plusdirectly factors to construct energy consumption decomposition model. Using the softwareestimates the contribution of transportation energy consumption factors. And in terms oftraffic structure, people travel and public transport and other areas to develop transportation energy saving strategies, in order to achieve our energy reduction targets, to complete the“second five” planning tasks and to contribute resource-saving and environment-friendlysociety.
