Poverty Alleviation And Development Problem Of/"Double To\" Five County Of Guangdong Province

Poverty is the Chinese Government focus on social issues, and effectively solve theproblem of poverty is an important prerequisite and foundation for building a harmonioussociety with Chinese characteristics.Economic development of Guangdong Province havebeen at the forefront of the country, but the eastern, western and northern of Guangdong manyplaces are at the low level of economic development, In order to pull a small gap, in2009Guangdong Province developed the " the double " poverty alleviation and development model,this "the double" assistance mode made great achievements so far.Wuhua belongs to Meizhou Municipality, Guangdong Province, covers an area of3226.1square kilometers, less arable land, and the soil is poor. This country’s road conditions arepoor, and living conditions are primitive, exists many difficult issues such as drinking water,schooling, medical treatment.Since2003, Panyu District Meizhou carried out the aid to Wuhua. Until2009, PanyuDistrict and Guangzhou City had been aid Wuhua totaling66.73million yuan gratuitously.Solved the medical, school, roads and other infrastructure problems in Wuhua, and achievedremarkable results.In this study, Wuhua Poverty Alleviation and Development work as an example,combining Wuhua basic situation, research Wuhua rural integrity poverty and cause ofpoverty, summarize the effectiveness of the aid to Wuhua and difficulties of Panyu District,and strive to provide a scientific basis for government decisions.
