The personal insurance agents play a very much important role in the rapidly developing life insurance market of China. However, since this personal insurance agent system was introduced to China not long, the life insurance companies are just keeping trial and feeling their ways with regard to agent team building and management. During this high development period, China Pingan Life Insurance Co., Liaoning Branch (hereinafter called as Liaoning Pingan), tries to identify and tackle problems existed in agent team building and management, which means a lot for the healthy development of the system. Building an agent team with high quality, high performance, high stability and high loyalty, is essential for Liaoning Pingan to grow into the largest and the best life insurance company in Northeast China, and also of great significance for its development in the severely competed Liaoning Market, and then to be the industry leader.In this paper, the author lays emphasis on the personal insurance agent team building and management. With the development of the personal insurance agent team, there arise various problems, i.e. comparatively low personnel quality, high personnel turnover, increased payroll, underdeveloped training system, etc. Concerning the above mentioned problems, and aiming to improve the whole level of the agent team in Liaoning Pingan, the author searched the current situations in the company, and made proposals for the agent team building and management.By investigating and analyzing the life insurance market in Liaoning Province, combining the relating materials from domestic life insurance market, policies of the supervision organizations, and also his personal experiences in the company, the author exerts himself to come up with constructive suggestions for the reform of the personal insurance agent system, solutions to problems like increased payroll, training and motivations. Here, the author has also applied his knowledge in strategy management, principles of management, grey relational analysis of the operation research, marketing, human resources management, motivation theories, etc. The agent team building is a much more complicated problem, and requires more and deeper research on it. Hopefully, this paper can be of some referential significance to the practice.
