As an important portion of public architectural, hotel building is developing with human’s growing. The design of the building reflects various age characteristic with human demand, or culture at that time. Entering into the21st century, with the rapid economic growth of China, Chinese culture impact generally leads the global trend. New challenges come up from the changes to the hotel industry’s continuous developing. Theme hotel is a new business model in the new business environment. It is becoming a new trend of the industry.This paper is discussing the design of theme, with the analysis of the hotel’s birth, developing, characteristic, category, and comparison with other hotels. This paper will further analysis concept and human behavior, substance and spirit, and technology and art. After the analysis, the paper concludes the existing problem of theme hotel, and suggested quality control during the designing stage of opening a theme hotel to emphasis the theme.
