Quantitative Analysis Of Beijiang Urban Region Development And Resource Environment

The region is the foundation and development of the city. The western region isa special and important region that far away from the coastal area, but it is facingeconomic development and ecological construction of the grim situation. Xinjiang is atypical western region that plays important strategic position and role in China.Beijiang Urban Region in this research is the urban areas better development inXinjiang and even the whole northwest region. It has the extremely vital significanceto explore the successful experience of developed region in the less developed areasto achieve coordinated development of economy and environment.This paper mainly studied the following aspects based on the purpose of thestudy:(1) Firstly, The paper defines the scope of Beijiang urban region, and describesthe endowment of natural resources. Then it analyses North Xinjiang situation fromthe aspects of economy, city level, regional advantages, science of cities, and analysesthe urban agglomeration scale by fractal theory.(2) The paper selected four typical areas of Urumqi city, Shihezi city, Karamaycity and state of Changji as the research object, using the Xinjiang statistical yearbook2013data, using principal component analysis in comprehensive evaluation of thefour city PREE system.(3) The focus of this paper is to analyze the quantitative relationship of Beijiangurban region development and resource environment. Firstly, it reveals the fluctuationmechanism of city region development by the multivariate time series Markov chainanalysis method. Secondly, using the theory of foreign models, to analyze productionmechanism of economic development impact on natural resources, it makes a deepanalysis of mechanism that how natural resources impact on economic developmentbased on related theories model abroad，and studies how natural resources promote or inhibit economic development in Beijiang urban region. Thirdly, it applies thecointegration theory and granger causality relationship test to analyze the relationshipamong economic growth with resources and environment pollution of Beijiang urbanregion. Finally, it summarizes the full text based on the results of quantitative analysis,and gives recommendations for the coordinated development of Beijiang UrbanRegion.
