The Price Research Of Railway Freight Based On Traffic Efficiency

ABSTRACT:In the freight system, Railway freight transport is playing an important role. In recent years, due to the rigid administrative system, it’s competitiveness is declining. In freight fee, because strictly regulated by the government, there is almost no elasticity and flexibility. With the "separation" of railway industry, there is a new development opportunities for the railway freight industry. In this process, the marketization of railway freight transportation is a problem to be solved.This paper traces back to the pricing reform process of China railway freight. And through the analysis of the freight market, I compare the highway freight transportation and waterway transportation, and find the problems in the pricing of railway freight transportation.Then, I construct a price model based on traffic efficiency. Traffic efficiency will e decomposed into three dimensions, twelve performance indexes. In this model, I joined the dimension of environmental effectiveness based on the traditional transportation efficiency and economic efficiency, and analysis the advantage and disadvantage of each kinds of freight way. On the basis of quantitative value of traffic efficiency, deal with these value dimensionlessly, and through the SPSS software, calculate the coefficient of various mode of transportation impact on the regional economy. Using the ratio as the correction coefficient of the price model of traffic efficiency, which makes the model more accurate.Finally, on the basis of above analysis, it puts forward the policy suggestions from the aspects of the reform of the pricing system and innovation of pricing method, to establish the competitive freight price of the railway freight transport in China.
