As an advanced quality magangement system, Six Sigma has gained broad recognition. To sustaining development, most excellent enterprises in the world are now having access to or even implementing SSM. Since its introduction to China in the1990s, more and more Chinese enterprises have also begun to realize its advancement and,therefore,the core competitiveness of the companies have been improved after their applying and implementing the SSM.Efficiency and quality are the two key elements for Six Sigma management in manufacturing enterprises. However, Chinese businesses attach more importance to how to improve the quality of the products than to studying the practical application in the construction management after bringing in the SSM. By setting up the DMAIC in construction enterprises as well as blending the Six Sigma Calculation with the production standard, we can not only judge the advantages or disadvantages of the construction production to improve the stability of the products, but we can also enjoy the economic returns brought by increasing the quality of production, making us see the feasibility of standardization and industrialization in construction.This paper analyzes the characteristics of the process in construction and the current situation of construction industry in our country, puts forward the significance of applying SSM in construction industry and also demostrates its feasibility by listing the specific mode of operation. In accordance with the production process of a certain construction enterprise, it analyzes and optimizes the application of SSM over its Chain Management and Design.First, by analyzing the current situation of Design Management and Engineering Management as well as the the objective of enterprises, it sets a target to implement the Standardized Program Management, to optimize the product line, and, at the same time, to increase the efficiency in the production and reduce costs.Next, by comparing the project management and the design management of different and similar projects, it collects and analyzes statistical data to discover the key factor in affecting the target-product selection, design optimization and the accuracy of productive technologyThen, using Six Sigma common statistical analysis to make a mathematical deduction and compared with the old mode, it improves the impact factor, the quality of products and reduces production costs. Finally, it analyzes the economic benefits brought by the adoption of the SSM and makes a subsequently corresponding control process to ensure the effectiveness of the standardization constructions.
