In recent years, the wearable devices has been one of the focuses in the Information Technology area. However, it is still unclear that what makes people accept new electric devices like wearable devices today. The subject of this study is settled to find out the reason of this phenomenon. After a comprehensive research, this paper considers the factors that affect customers’accpetance as the key. It would be helpful to find some theoretical foundation to solve the dilemma of wearable devices. But for now, there are few articles that focus on this branch of research. To make it clear, this study summarizes some existing theories about customer acceptance, and proposes a new theory based on some models such as UTAUT. This new model is designed to find out the factors in the area of wearable devices, and relevant variables and hyphotheses are set out. Factors have been organised in a much more clear way to focus on the main relationship, such as the Perceived ease of use. Creative hypotheses are also examined in the model by studying factors like Experience of use. To examine this model, a survey is launched. By analyzing the collected data, hyphotheses are verified. The result shows some differences between the theory and the fact, and new factors are discovered during the research. The verified model suggests that new changes have taken place while the classical models are not suitable for new inventions such as wearable devices. Also in this research some puzzling issues are explained. In this paper, both the market of wearable devices and the theories of technology acceptance are argued. After the investigation, this paper gives an explanation about the factors that affect customers’attitudes toward the wearable devices, and makes a brief conclusion on the theory of customer acceptance and the future of the wearable devices’ market.
