Application Of OPM3in Start-Up It Enterprise

With the intensifying market competition and the complexity IT enterprise business, more and more IT companies begin to realize the important of the organizational project management ability of enterprises which is considered as part of the core competitiveness of enterprises. The IT companies which are in the initial stage of enterprise life cycle have their own characteristics of the early stages of development and some restrict factors. As to survival in the complex environment with more serious challenge, the enterprise managers and researchers need to find out a way to improve the organizational project management ability and maturity from an existing project management related theory and research results.In this paper, the chief object of the research was the application of Organizational Project Management Maturity Model (OPM3) in start-up IT enterprise. By analyzing the project management requirements and the management problem in start-up IT enterprise, the researcher try to find out the exactly demand of start-up IT enterprise in using Organizational Project Management Maturity. It is also discussed that the main application process and steps of the operation at OPM3in IT enterprise. Meanwhile, the researcher also point out the importance of the Organizational Enablers in OPM3when IT enterprise using them.The researches we have performed showed that OPM3was an effective tool for start-up IT enterprise to improve the organizational project management maturity. By combining with practical application case analysis and summary, there are also some suggestions and Matters needing attention given to the enterprise to reference. At last, all further investigations showed that the process of the improving of IT enterprise’s organizational project management maturity is not a short-term task, it needs the enterprise to continue improve it as a long-term enterprise development strategy.
