A Study On The Economic Influences Of Carbon Tax In The Three Northeastern Provinces Of China

The economic development of Northeast China increased rapidly in recent years,GDP continues to increase. But the economic development of Northeast Chinamainly based on the huge energy consumption, fossil energy consumption continuesto increase, which has made the Northeast China inevitably became the most seriousplace on carbon emissions in China. And today low-carbon economy become themain proposition in national and global, The Northeast facing enormous pressure toachieve carbon emission reductions. The carbon tax as an effective means ofenvironmental protection and energy saving, increasingly being adopted in othercountries and regions.The carbon tax as one of the most efficient means to reduce emissions, has beencited in many countries in the world, and have achieved good results. But it did notset up in China, the research of carbon tax in China is not very long time, soaccording to the Northeast China’s level of economic development and resourceendowments，what wound happened on economic growth in Northeast China and itreally can have a big positive impact on energy conservation? They are all the focusof this article.This article includes a total of six sections. First, the background of internationaland domestic on the carbon tax are described, and summarized the current researchon the carbon tax. Secondly, it introduces the connotation and related theoreticalbasis of the carbon tax. The third part described the practice of carbon tax in theinternational arena. Then in the fourth section analyzed the current situation inNortheast China’s energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions status.The fifthpart is empirical analysis, according to the model, using panel data analyzed the impact of the carbon tax on the three northeastern provinces in economic growth，energy conservation, income distribution,then make a final conclusion. The last partis make recommendations according to the final conclusion.
