Research On The Development Of Low-Carbon Economic Of Changchun

In recent years, climate warming caused widespread concern around the word. Low-carbon economy has become the choice of countries to solve the issue of climate. Low-carbon economy can maintain the sustainable development of society and economy. Cities are the carrier of low-carbon economic. This paper mainly study on the development of low-carbon economic of Changchun in the perspective of city.Firstly, this paper summarizes relevant theory and research of low-carbon economy which focuses on methods of estimates of carbon emissions and factors decomposition. The thesis investigates the achievements and issue of low-carbon economy of Changchun. Secondly, we calculated Changchun’s carbon emissions from2000to2011. And we decompose the influence factors of Changchun carbon emissions by Kaya identities, and analyzed each factor by LMDI (logarithmic mean Divisia index).We came to the conclusion that the principal driving factor of Changchun’s carbon emissions is economic growth and principal inhibiting factor is energy intensity. Thirdly, we analyze the short-term relationship between economic growth and carbon emissions of Changchun. We find that the trend of them is not consistent entirely. It shows the effectiveness of the low-carbon policy. So we can control the carbon emissions by some appropriate policy. Finally, we put forward some related recommendations for the development of low-carbon economy according to specific conditions of Changchun. Recommendations focuses on three aspects:reducing energy intensity, optimizing energy structure and adjusting industrial structure.
