Research Of USA Technical Barriers To Trade On China’s Eggs Export Trade

Technical barriers to trade is a kind of non-tariff barriers, and in recent years, it has been the main means to protect domestic enterprises and products in developed countries. As a developing country, exports are often constrained by the technical barriers to trade, and the limited range is more widely, technical barriers to trade have become the main factors that hinder the exports of the industries in China. According to statistics, China’s export enterprises are mainly restricted by the TBT of EU, U.S., Japan and South Korea and other countries and regions, of which40%of export restrictions come from the EU,27%come from the United States,25%are subject to the restrictions in Japan,8%are restricted in other countries and regions, such as South Korea. Therefore, to study the relationship between the technical barriers to trade and export trade in our country has a certain practical significance.This paper focuses on the influence of the technical trade barriers in United States to Chinese eggs export. At first, we make a general analysis to expound the present situation of our country’s egg exports to the United States. On this basis, the paper set the TBT of United States as a dummy variable, establishing an econometric model to study the relations between the technical barriers to trade and our eggs exports to America. The paper regards the econometrics as an analysis tool, setting the volume of Chinese eggs export to America as the explained variable, the YIELD of eggs in our country, the GNI of America, the RMB real effective exchange rate, and the technical barriers to trade in United States to our country as explanatory variables to make a quantitative analysis. After the study we get a conclusion that the technical barriers to trade which United States set on China’s export egg have negative influence on the eggs trade between China and the United States, the more or the more strict the United States set up technical trade barriers, the greater the resistance to eggs export of our country is. U.S. set for each1%increase in technical barriers to trade, China’s eggs exports to the U.S. will decline0.162%. Finally, according to the result of the empirical analysis, the article puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions from three aspects:national, industry and enterprise, which can help our eggs export enterprises across the technical barriers to trade in United States. The government should try to improve our eggs standards system and certification system, set up technical trade barriers early warning mechanism; the industry associations should represent relevant enterprises to actively respond to foreign technical barriers to trade-related complaint cases, and using the WTO mechanism to across the technical barriers to trade of foreign countries actively; the enterprises should enhance the independent innovation ability, improve the quality of export products and take the brand development strategy.
