With the development of project management theory and its applications, more and more MNEs (Multi-national Enterprises) make use of project management skills for implementation of change in the company. In common practice, the individuals who are the basic units of project team have the direct impact on project execution and ultimate delivery of the project management. By combining the theories of cross-culture management and project communication management, this thesis tries to probe into an outlook of culture diversity and project communication barriers. It also provides insights to practitioners on topic of how a project manager should facilitate the multi-national project management team in the process of communication management to the given target project under the triple constraints.This thesis is written from the viewpoint of a project manager in a multi-national project team in company B. It focuses on the research of significance and roles of communication management in multi-national project team to ensure the fulfillment of project objectives. Based on project management and cross-culture theories, the thesis analyzed the communication model and the elements involved after explaining the importance of project communication. In order to build up the multi-national project team communication management application theoretical base, it also introduced two classical theories:High/low context culture and Hofstede dimensions of national culture.To further elaborate the multi-national communication from B company level, the thesis also presents the history of company B and its project management organization setup base, the principles carried on project communication management of company B and the communication management embodiment in procedure of company B project management. They all highlighted the cross-culture communication management in company B globalization and project management policy formulation.To help reader have a deeper understanding of communication in the multi-national project, this thesis uses case study to illustrate project organization, position and the role played by project manager in a project; the barriers and then the principle to solve issues emerged during that project communication management practice; the typical methods and tools shared to readers from project communication management perspective; the risk management actually used in that case as well. The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the impact of cultural diversity on project management and the possible communication obstacles in multi-national project team through discussion of topics about multi-national project team communication management. Also it intends to emphasize the conclusion of significance of effective communication on project objectives and the leading role of project manager in project communication management. By discussing the project communication in multi-national project, it provide managerial insights to the domestic enterprises for creating effective communication channel and construct the smoothing the communication management when under the similar environment mentioned in this thesis. Also it will help to the cross-culture communication research.
