On The Development Strategy Of Leisure And Tourism In Chizhou

At present, leisure activities have became a part of social life while tourism has been a part of daily life as a main means of leisure activities. But now our people do not have clear concept for tourism during leisure time. Besides, with the fast grown economy and increasing leisure time, tourism during leisure time has developed to a relatively big scale as well as is gaining momentum.Chizhou is city listed as the core area of International Tourism Cultural Demonstration Zone in South Anhui. And the authorities have paid substantial efforts to foster the city to be an international leisure eco-city. The city is endowed with natural ecological resources, cultural and historical deposits and profound Buddhist culture. Meanwhile, the city is located in advantageous location and can be accessed by multi-means of transportation like Yangtze River, flights, railways and expressways.On the basis of summarizing related domestic and foreign academic articles and theories and in terms of actual situation of leisure tourism in Chizhou, this essay aimed to use the SWOT analysis method to analyze the advantages, disadvantages, opportunities and challenges of developing leisure tourism in Chizhou. The essay proposed questions worth attention in the process of developing leisure tourism and related countermeasures. It’s suggested to implement four strategies like coordinately developing leisure tourism, taking promotion of Buddhist cultural tourism as priority in developing leisure tourism, developing countryside tourism in South Anhui and fostering intangible cultural relics as an attractive tourism brand in the essay. Through the implementation of those strategies, local characteristic culture and ecological protect will be enhanced. The impact of local tourism brands will be used to forge leisure tourism products, build bases of leisure tourism, develop leisure tourism routes for fully carry forward the leisure tourism industry in Chizhou city.
