With the further development of China’s economic system reform and China’sopening-up policy, labor relations is becoming more and more complex and the labordisputes are growing more and more serious. They are attracting the society’s attentionfrom all walks of life. Labor disputes can be resolved by many different ways such aspolitics, system, economic and so on. But in terms of the existing labor relationscoordination mechanism, there is still some limitation. We can find out that laborconflicts exist throughout the whole process of industrialization from the coordinatinglabor relations practice of developed countries. Improving the relationships among allthe subjects, balancing the interests of all parties and playing roles of all the parties arethe precondition of how to improve the mechanisms for coordinating labor relations andalso the basic way of settling labor disputes.Based on the theory of public management as the foundation, this article focuseson the coordination mechanism of labor disputes in China. On the basis of summarizingthe experience in labor conflict coordination mechanism at home and abroad, especiallythe exploration and practice of Suzhou’s supervision departments of labor security inrecent years, we can discover that the building of harmonious and stable labor relationshas to follow the principles of keeping both of the labour and capital’s balanced interest,equal consultation, mutual promoting cooperation and government intervention. Toestablish a harmonious and stable labor relationship also depends on construction andsupervision of trade unions and other social organization, enterprise internalmanagement system’s reform and improvement, the government departments’ functionlinkage and comprehensive right protection system.
