Under the trend of economic globalization, more and more SMEs in our countrystarted to develop foreign trade, to look into the international market. In recent years,the international economic environment is not very good, however, a slow economicrecovery in the United States, the European economy has not yet get rid of theinfluence of European debt crisis. The export trade of SMEs in our country have beenhampered, in order to seek a way out, cross-border e-commerce became the newchoice of many SMEs transformation. Making international trade throughCross-border e-commerce, enterprises can greatly simplify the process of foreigntrade, thereby saving a lot of middle cost. And through Cross-border e-commerce,SMEs get a fair chance to compete with large enterprises, to explore further theinternational market, increase market share. But SEMS in the process of applicationof cross-border e-commerce also encountered problems and confusion:SEMS aredifficult to choose the effective model for cross-border e-commerce. And they don’tknow which influencing factors should they pay more attention to in the process ofcross-border E-commerce to insure its success.This article attempts to use the theory analysis and empirical research to solvethese questions.At first we analyze the present situation of SMEs to carry outcross-border e-commerce, summarizes the advantages of cross-border electroniccommerce development of SMEs. Then analyze and compare the platform modes ofcross-border e-commerce which SMEs apply,including the geographical distributionof the overseas market and small and medium-sized enterprises, product categorystructure comparison. Compare the advantages and disadvantages of variouscross-border electric business platform models with statistical data. Summed up fourprinciples for SMEs to choose cross-border e-commerce platform model. to carry outcross-border e-commerce index system based on the literature review at home andabroad. Obtained original data by means of questionnaires, makes an empiricalanalysis with factor analysis. Extract the influence factors of cross-bordere-commerce development of SMEs. Finally puts forward related Suggestionsaccording to the results of the theoretical and empirical research from two aspects ofthe government and the enterprise itself.
