In the context of global climate change,"low-carbon economy"and"low-carbon technologies" have become an increasing concern around the world. Only when the concept of "carbon footprint"being used, and thus the greenhouse gas related to personal and business activities taken in to consideration, can all the low-carbon lives and reduction plan be developed, or it may cause the illusion of pollution reduction as a matter fact of trasfering. The LCA method based on environment is able to track all emissions along the entire supply chain, and on the other hand, empirically, it would lead to a huge undereastimate of carbon emission according to the narrow defined estimation draft.A small number of native references have started research on the low-carbon estimation along the whole supply chain, however, most of them are lack of scientific assessment method and accuracy on calculation, more over, there is hardly any research on the low carbon supply chain opration system and model construction with a specific characteristic of an industry. On the basis of deeply analysis on the difference between low carbon supply chain and traditional supply chain, this thesis will put an importance on the research of the low carbon supply chain model based on LCA, and apply the theretical model into the low carbon network construction of petroleum industry.Specifically, this paper fulfills the following tasks:(1) Classification and review of literature related to low carbon supply chain. Find out the contributions and inadiquacies in the current research literature through classification and thus propose the feasible research directions in this paper.(2) Research on the theories related to low carbon supply chain. Describe key concepts such as low carbon supply chain, LCA and other related ideas. Bing up the process of low carbon supply chain design(3) Research on the model of low carbon supply chain. Formulate a bi-criterion MINLP model under the consideration of both NPV and carbon emission.(4) Applying low carbon supply chain model based on LCA into the construction of low carbon supply chain of a certain amount of Petrochemical products.The Low carbon supply chain model for Petrochemical Products based on LCA method research is a useful complement to the theory of GSC model design research. The analysis of numerical examples illustrates that the models in this paper are effective, and case study illustrates that the models can guide the low carbon supply chain construction practice.
