With the advent of the wave of global economic integration, the enterprises of China are facing greater competition in the global market. As a powerful means of improve competitiveness, information construction is favored by domestic enterprises gradually. ERP is the combination of both advanced theories of management and high technology. It is a information platform who is able to integrate the resources of enterprises effectively and improve the level of management. Therefore, more and more enterprises begin to implement ERP systems. However, many enterprises are troubled by the problems that how to build the ERP system successfully and achieve the desired goal.The paper put the information construction of enterprise A as a case study. The paper described the selection of ERP, the implementation planning of ERP and the problems found in the implementation process. Then, the case was analyzed by the theories of ERP, business processes and project management and found out the reasons of the problems and provided several suggestions according to the problems existed in the information construction of enterprise A, which were paying more attention on the selection of the technology products, combining with management processes during the implementation, emphasizing on the human factor in the process, improving the internal control system of the enterprise, emphasizing on the cultural changes due to the information construction.
