The Study On The Synergetic Development Between Strategic Emerging Industry And Traditional Industry

Global economy has suffered the biggest challenge from the global financial crisis in2008since the Great Depress of last century, and until then, people all round the world get to realize the importance of a healthy and balanced economic structure to a country’s achieving sustainable development. Many western nations, thus, put forward the reindustrialization strategy, which aims to boost the real economy and avoid the industry emptiness. Although China suffered less than other developed countries from this global financial crisis, it must be noted that China’s future economic development will subject to the resource and environmental constraints, and also the pressure of economic and technical competition. For the moment, every country is actively seeking new economic growth point, China also outlines its medium and long term development plan, of which developing strategic emerging industry is the strategic selection to overcome difficulties and focus on long-term development.China’s strategic emerging industries have made certain achievements after more than four-year development, and won an international leading position in some subdivided fields. However, as it is easy to ignore seeking joint development with traditional industry and lacking a uniform policy and institutional system, it results in some problems such as overlapping investment, low rate of occupancy and severe resource waste. Therefore, dealing with the synergetic development of strategic emerging industry and traditional industry is an urgent and profound topic.On the basis of reading related research findings of other scholars, by using the coupling theory in physics, this essay studied the relationship between strategic emerging industry and traditional industry in the angle of system theory. This article first defined the connotation of traditional industry, strategic emerging industry and industry coupling, and then analyzed systematically on the coupling relationship between strategic emerging industry and traditional industry. Chapter4constructed an evaluation model on the basis of the concept of capacity coupling. Chapter5 made an empirical analysis of Liaoning province. This paper made a comprehensive research on the coupling relationship between strategic emerging industry and traditional industry by means of qualitative and quantitative analysis, theoretical and empirical analysis. Moreover, according to the empirical analysis of Liaoning province, it is concluded that the two industries are in the early stage of coupling development. Finally, this paper explored the underlying causes of present coupling situation of Liaoning province, and put forward corresponding suggestions to cultivate the high-end equipment manufacturing industry and upgrade the petrochemical industry.The main innovation of this paper is the empirical analysis of Liaoning province, which accurately measured the coupling degree between the high-end equipment manufacturing industry and the petrochemical industry, thus, revealed the present situation and development space of them. Because of limitation of author’s knowledge and availability of data, there existed some inefficiency such as imperfect design of index system and defective application of entropy evaluation method.
