The21st century is surely identified as a remarkable era for its information and knowledge abundance; this data has caused significant changes in corporate competition. This competition is no longer only between products and services, but now knowledge and talented people to manage that knowledge are actively engaged as well. For expounding and analyzing knowledge’s core effects in companies’competition, this thesis analyzes a typical case with some corresponding theories. It is a research of knowledge management using an original outline of an actual company’s group. By analyses of some deficiencies deeply rooted in this group, the goal there would be to improve the appropriate processes. Not only solving problems for group L, but also calling for other organizations in the same industry to widely accept knowledge sharing.It is realized that in group L the process transfer is frequently happening, but some problems are disclosed. Problems such as an informal process manual, unclear process transfer rules, and a low level of process transfer knowledge among employees. This thesis does a deep analysis of the problems in group L, and found that these problems were rooted in the following areas:issues with the process transfer system; misuse of code and personalized strategies; defining the communication system;&specifying group L members’ organization of knowledge sharing. These are the inherent problems to overcome. Once these issues are clarified and resolved, customer satisfaction and a prosperous future for group L will result. This thesis suggests some strategies for improvement by analyzing issues of group L. The main goal is to introduce the many parts of the knowledge management system. In particular, the coaching process, the rules of knowledge transfer, the daily process activity, knowledge sharing among all members, reconfiguring the office space to establish a communication "Base" leading to a top learning organization. These actions will be done step-by-step according to an18-month plan. With the introduction of a knowledge management system, key issues being resolved, and an improvement in members’knowledge based skills, group L will become a more effective product for this forward thinking organization.Supported by some related theories of knowledge management, this thesis offers specific research and analysis of the issues reflected by group L’s knowledge management. By applying those obtainable solutions suggested, an easily understandable conclusion will have an analogous affect within the company and the industry.
