Optimization Research Of Operation Management On GDLNG Company

Utilization of clean energy is becoming the same proposition and economic developing direction of countries around the world. LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) is a kind of important clean energy. Chinese LNG industry is a sunrise industry of new-style energy. Up till2012, it is the6th commercial operation year of Guangdong Dapeng LNG Company (GDLNG) which is China’s first LNG Company. At present, there are altogether9terminals that are already put into operation, under construction or under planning. Compare to other LNG companies, GDLNG has much commonness in hardware facilities, for instance, tanks, pumps, vaporisers, operation process, etc. Therefore, it is referential in software management area. Companies lack sufficient management experience due to domestic LNG terminals have short term operational experience. Making good use of management experience and lessons from GDLNG will be a good reference and consult to other companies.This dissertation mainly focuses on the investigation on GDLNG operational management current status and problems. Through the following three aspects, inventory control, reliability of facility operation and effective coordination on cross-department target control, to find out an effective control and management measure and to ensure company making biggest value by using the least cost. Firstly, this dissertation analyses advantage of inventory control. Controllable and incontrollable factors which caused inventory risks are illustrated to demonstrate efficient target control with the combination of forecast theory and methodology of operation management. Secondly, through analysis on facility break-down and an operation process to solve multi-factors reliability problems, integrating with quality control theory and policy arrangement. Thirdly, department targets and interfaces are well set and by recognition of organization chart, which are good for decision making and smooth process execution. It is hoped that this dissertation is referential for other LNG companies and the experience and results will make contribution to China’s LNG industry, the new-style energy industry.
