With China’s accession to the World Trade Organization and rapid economicgrowth, car companies around the country compete keenly. The importance in thecompetition of logistics in the automotive supply chain was gradually revealed, tobuild the system of lean logistics of supply chain have become an important subjectof study in car manufacturing companies. Lean logistics management of supply chainis helpful to improve the efficiency of logistics supply chain system, and to promotethe communication and co-operation in supply chain enterprises, aiming to reduce thecost of supply chain operations, and to upgrade the profits of enterprises in supplychain, only in this way, companies can establish dominance and ensure steadydevelopment. This thesis engages in the deep study on the lean logistics managementof supply chain in FAW-VW Automotive Company Ltd., and has referentialsignificance in terms of the lean logistics management of supply chain in otherdomestic automakers.This thesis can be divided into four parts:First of all, chapter one introduces the study background and basic situation ofFAW-VW, and introduces and discusses the research status in China and abroad of thelean supply chain, and also states the study aim, study value, study methods andstructure.Next, chapter two explains the current situation of supply chain logistics andexisting issues in FAW-VW, introducing the current situation and issues in terms of storage and transportation system of warehouse management, logistics distributionand logistics information network, meanwhile, this chapter also illustrates the issuesabout the traditional logistics modes in this company, which can affect thedevelopment of this company, waste the cost of logistics and reduce the efficiency inthe product.Again, chapter three analyzes the reasons of issues, which are the logistics modein product and current situation in using the knowledge of the logistics, and analyzesthe detailed implementation of logistics in this company. According to the dataanalyzing in the design and optimize logistics solution, it gives the detailedexplanation about related logistics in this company.Finally, chapter four proposes solutions to lean logistics of supply chain inFAW-VW, building the balance of production modes, establishing integrated transportprocesses, enhancing information management technology and supplier managementsystem, the supply chain logistics can be stated running at the highest speed, andbecome an automotive industry of high efficiency, high energy and high yield.According to the planning and designing, through the analysis and study onlogistics and supply chain management in FAW-VW, this thesis put forward variousissues existing in the operation proposed for all aspects of lean implementationstrategies, improving constrains highlighted in the supply chain to reduce costs andincreasing the efficiency of the various issues, achieving supply chain and logisticsoptimization, improving service capabilities and enhancing the competitiveness.
