Research On The Policy Effect Of Postponing Statutory Retirement Age In China

Along with our country economy from the rapid growth to a stable growth, the phenomenon of imbalance on population structure is appearing in China. Some developed countries have seen appeared some problems of ageing tendency of population, and improving the legal age alleviates the negative influence of ageing tendency of population. However, policy which was proposed to improve legal and emeritus age in our country has caused the enormous reflect, and people mainly aims at the positive effects and negative effects after improve the statutory retirement age.With the supply and demand imbalance of labor today, improving the statutory retirement age is likely to impact the fatigue job market and increase the unemployment rate. Under the current the statutory retirement age, expenditure of pension pressures are increasing in our country. The pension system is not sound and the human resources can’t get sufficient use. Therefore, based on the related theory and combined with China’s external economic environment, this paper analyzes existing problems in the current statutory retirement age and proves the necessity of improving statutory retirement age.Improve the statutory retirement age mainly influence the two aspects which one is the employment, the other one is pension insurance system. Employment rate has the directly relations with our country’s economic development situation and the income level of resident; Endowment insurance system has relations with residents’life after retirement and the savings. So this article in view of the employment and the influence of old-age insurance system to make analysis and argumentation confirms that older workers crowding out of younger workers is really in the short term, but in the long term the statutory retirement age can promote the development of economy and the job market prosperity. And improve the statutory retirement age to influence pension for positive promoting effect is obvious.The western developed countries began to raise the legal retirement age in the early1930s, according to different national conditions this country adopted a positive response, and these experiences can be reference by our country. This paper enumerates four different characteristics of the developed countries to improve the legal and emeritus age, and concludes the enlightenment. Implement strategies to raise the legal retirement age in China is to combine our own national conditions, and based on principles of elasticity, moderate timely and orderly.
