The Choice Behavior Analysis Of Natural Rubber Tapping Systems On Private Rubber Farmers

Ideal tapping system can achieve increase production, reduce consumption of skin, improve efficiency, reduce labor intensity and prolong the production of rubber tree. Reform of rubber cutting is the important content for rubber production technology to improve. The current new tapping system has more than30years in the promotion of state-owned farms, the promotion rate of98.3%. In recent years, natural rubber prices low, tapping domestic labor shortages and tapping costs rise significantly, but the rate of new tapping systems to promote private (self) rubber is less than50%. What is the reason discouraging new private rubber cutting system in the promotion of the production of it, this paper analyzes to investigate.This paper did enough field investigation in Qionghai, Baisha, QiongZhong and Danzhou in Hainan province and Yunnan’s Xishuangbanna, and describes a qualitative rubber farmer tapping system selection behavior factors. The results show:Rubber farmers in remote areas lack of knowledge of the new tapping system. Government and other institutions to publicize the new tapping system need to be strengthened.To "rational economy" private rubber farmers as research subject and under the premise of maximizing short-term interests of farmers, this paper analyzes the theory of economic behavior farmers, and dualistic Logistic regression model to analyze the behavior of rubber farmers tapping system selection factor. The results show that factors like the rubber farmers’gender, educational level, tapping size, degree of labor shortage, rubber tree age, the degree of family expenses, the awareness of the new system of tapping, expected benefits of tapping system and whether studying of tapping system would increase the cost, related management technology, support of village cadres, training institutions and farm experience hold significant influence on the rubber farmers’choosing tapping system. While the age of the rubber farmers, status of village cadres, family income levels, views on the necessity of training institution, the rubber price and farm tapping experiences have no obvious impact on the farmers’decision.Based on the research conclusion, this paper puts forward the following Suggestions.1. Enhance awareness of tapping Systems to in the private rubber tapping technology to increase the popularity of the intensity of knowledge;2. Emphasis on team building spread tapping system, called tapping technology counselor, to achieve a stable,"field training" tapping system model;3. To introduce of high-tech talent, to strengthen the rural education;4. Complete with rubber farmers demand technology-driven extension system.
