Study On The Development Of Characteristic Fruit Industry In Jiangzhou District Of Chongzuo City, Guangxi And Introduction Experiment Of New Varieties

Enjoying huge potential for development, Guangxi fruit industry is still less developed. Affected by WTO and China-ASEAN free trade area, the industry structure is in need of getting regulated immediately. Jiangzhou District of Chongzuo City is located in the southwestern of Guangxi. Now the sugarcane industry of Jiangzhou District is getting into trouble, because of the unstable sugar prices, the rising costs and other factors. The development of characteristic fruit industry has become an important way to adjust the agricultural structure of Jiangzhou District, which is supported by farmers and InvestorsThe study introduced Jiangzhou District detailedly, and used SWOT-PEST framework to analyze the internal strengths and weaknesses, the external opportunities and threats in the political, economic, social and technical aspects of characteristic fruit industry development. According to the analysis, advice was given on the characteristic fruit industry development. Under the background of the China-ASEAN free trade area, Jiangzhou District should make full use of its advantages to upgrade the structure and expand the function of the fruit industry, insist on combining Government guidance and market-driven, support the leading enterprises of agricultural, the farmer cooperatives and large growers, construct the example base of characteristic fruit industry, introduce new technology and varieties such as precocious fruit, quality fruit and sightseeing fruit. Besides, the study suggested Jiangzhou District government follow "The Six Guidelines" and "The Five Position", constructing the favorable environment to promote the industry. The development pattern was designed as the "One Centre and One Belt", which will help the spreading of new technology and varieties. The Heshui River leisure agriculture demonstration park is an important component of the "One Centre", which was designed as the Guangxi high-quality leisure agriculture demonstration base, agricultural structure adjustment demonstration base, and typical business investment, which will be helpful to the transformation of traditional agriculture to modern ecological sightseeing agriculture.Introduction experiment of new varieties of Chinese cherry, peach, red bayberry, and loquat was in Heishui River leisure agriculture demonstration garden. According to the local climatic conditions and the status of agricultural production, the experiment included tests about the influence of the survival rate of fruit seedlings transplanted by different rooting treatments, the herbicidal effects of black film mulching in the orchard transformed from cane plantation, the good effects of temporary planting in extending the effective time of planting. Besides, all disasters, fruit pests and diseases during the first year of planting were recorded by pictures and data.
